Tadala Cane Furniture
Tadala Cane Furniture designs include traditionally hand crafted bamboo and basket weave furniture from Malawi. These chairs, tables and storage baskets are intricately woven, creating beautiful texture to home furnishings. They are made by craftsmen in their village homes around Blantyre and the Southern shores of Lake Malawi, so every piece is individual. The natural material used are local, fast growing vines and reeds, and are easily replenished. The villagers manage this ecosystem themselves, and Tadala Cane furniture encourages protection of the environment. This range comprises a small select choice of chairs, two seaters, three seaters, wing back, occasional tables, children's chairs and storage baskets. The cane furniture has been designed to compliment the printed fabrics, the combination of cane furniture and these printed fabrics, creates a truly rich and unique African interior which has application in private homes and public spaces, such as hotels and lodges.
