KAUWRI CREATIONS
Kauwri is a jewelry brand based in Nairobi, Kenya, dedicated to producing handmade, artisanal jewelry with a focus on quality craftsmanship, eco-conscious design, and fair income for artisans. We use recycled brass as our primary metal, then either gold or silver-plate, alongside materials like cow horn, cow bone, freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, and beads. By repurposing waste materials from the local environment, including cow horn and bone, we reduce environmental impact. Our production is based in Kibera, Africa’s largest urban slum, where we aim to support and uplift the local community through meaningful employment and skill development.
