This stunning handwoven bassinet is made from elephant grass with leather-bound handles. Our Baskets are made in the Bolgatanga in the upper east region of Ghana by skilled artisans who are typically women who take many months to perfect their craft. They tend to specialise in one 'style' of weaving and each area or group has their own style that they are known for. The elephant grass is a sustainable grass that grows in the local areas of Bolgatanga.
